外國人說，“We had a wrinkle”不是長了皺紋！
最近看新推出的美劇《模範愛侶》(The Perfect Couple)，其中有一個情節，有一家人本來要辦一場婚禮，請商家送來新鮮的生蠔，沒想到婚禮前有人被謀殺了，當商家生蠔送到時，準新郎就說了：
“Look, we had a wrinkle, so you're just gonna have to take them all back.”
這裡的Wrinkle並不是我們熟悉的「皺紋」，這個字其實很有趣，也很實用，今天來談談這個字的道地用法。
1. We had a wrinkle.
（Ｘ）我們長皺紋了。
（Ｏ）我們有遇到一些麻煩。
"Wrinkle" 字面上指的是「皺紋」或「皺褶」，皮膚、衣服或紙張上的皺褶，都可以叫做wrinkle，而且經常用複數，因為皺紋總不是只有一條。例如：
• She noticed a few wrinkles on her face. 她注意到臉上有幾條皺紋。
• I need to iron this shirt; there are too many wrinkles. 我需要熨一下這件襯衫，太皺了。
除了「皺紋」之外，wrinkle可以引申為「小麻類」。像文章一開始提到的：
“Look, we had a wrinkle, so you're just gonna have to take them all back.”
意思是：你看，我們現在有點小麻煩，你得把這些都帶回去。
Wrinkle當「小麻類」的例子，多看幾個例句：
• The event went off without a wrinkle. 這次活動進行得非常順利。
• What are we going to do about this wrinkle in the computer system? 電腦系統裡的這一難題，我們將如何解決呢？
Wrinkle經常會搭配iron out，用熨斗燙平，比喻「解決麻煩，使事情順利進行」。

Wrinkle是「皺折」，也可以引申為「轉折」。通常指「好點子、新技術、新風格」，特別是有趣或新奇的東西，新轉折或解決問題的新方法。常加一個new，用”a new wrinkle”。例如：
• The meeting introduced a new wrinkle in the project. 這次會議給案子帶來了一個新的轉折。
• They added a new wrinkle to the game, making it even more challenging. 他們為遊戲加入了一個新元素，使它變得更具挑戰性。
3. She wrinkled her brow when she heard the bad news.
（Ｘ）聽到這個壞消息時，她的眉毛起皺紋。
（Ｏ）聽到這個壞消息時，她皺起了眉頭。
Wrinkle除了名詞用法，也有動詞用法，指「變皺、皺起來」例如：
• This shirt will not wrinkle. 這件襯衫不會起皺。
＂Wrinkle one’s brow＂，"brow" 指的是眉頭，而 "wrinkle" 則是指由於皺眉而在額頭上形成的皺紋。是常見的表達，意思是「皺眉」。經常用來表達困惑、擔憂、專注或不滿。
表示專注：
當我們專注或思考某件事情時，會皺眉來集中注意力。例如：
• He wrinkled his brow as he focused on the details of the report. 他皺起眉頭，專注於報告的細節。
表示不滿：
皺眉也可以是表達不滿或懷疑的一種肢體語言。例如：
